Lethal Lullaby

Telenko, a New York taxi driver, spends his days ferrying around the dregs of society in one of the city's roughest neighborhoods. He has an obsessive fear of dying like a guy he saw in a film, who'd hear his heart stop every 15 beats. Because Telenko himself has a tired heart. He has a minor case of tachycardia and the odd extra systole, not helped by his stressful job and the constant abuse from his wheelchair-bound wife, Martha: "You don't divorce a wife in a wheelchair, Telenko!"
She'll get what's coming to her, no doubt. Just like that slut who just got in his taxi who's fooling around with some other guy right under her decrepit old husband's nose. So he decides to kill Martha. But you gotta have some guts to kill your wife in cold blood. Especially when she's got a nasty surprise in store... Lethal Lullaby. Script by Tome - Art by Ralph Meyer.

Dance Class. A comic by Beka and Crip.
This year, in addition to classical and modern lessons, they learn African dance and discover a new universe, punctuated by the djembes. Nothing like it to let off steam and forget the hassle of everyday life. For if Julie always spins the perfect love with Tim, her beautiful hip-hop dancer, life is less rosy for Luce whose divorced parents show her in all colors.

Yiu

The time has come when the flowers will die. The time has come when the air will become scarce. The time has come when the work of God will return to the dust. They will build the new Jerusalem. They will sing the magnificat to the glory of the blasphemous god. They will bring forth the false prophet. Then, and only then, will they lick the gaping wound of our fears. Yiu. A Comic by Téhy and Jérôme Renéaume.

Alone In The Dark

The comic books for the Alone in the Dark franchise did not seem to be prominent as the games and films. Like the films there were presently at leat two, both of which are not related to each other. One of them, Life is a Hideous Thing, served as a prequel for Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare, and introduced Carnby to Aline Cedrac. The other comic book, known simply as Alone in the Dark, was less well-known, and was presumed to have been based on the Alone in the Dark 3 game. Written by Jean Marc.

Dead Hunter

Hooded Southerners, a spectral serial killer, a great white worm, and a handful of zombies and cannibals... This is the cast of horrors that decided to ruin life for Dead Hunter ! In short, that’s the job in prospect for our resurrected avenger ! Ergo, blood will gush, teeth will krack, and brains will serve as tags on saloon facades. Since Dead Hunter lost his speech, carnage has become his favourite means of expression. And when he dots the "i"s and crosses the "t"s, things get very rough, indeed ! A comic by Franck Tacito.

The Raven's Flight

Paris occupied, 18 June 1944. Denounced by an anonymous letter, Jeanne, a young resistant, has just been arrested by the French police. On the same day, François, an unscrupulous and somewhat cynical burglar, suffers the same fate and finds himself in the same cell of the same police station. Through an alert, Jeanne and Francis escape through the roofs. Henceforth, by the play of chance and necessity, the common fate of the two young men, whom everything separates, seems sealed. For better and for worse. The Raven's Flight. A comic by Jean-Pierre Gibrat.
The "Himalaya" itself underwent the German occupation. In fact, Rene's barge was requisitioned to transport equipment, and its inhabitants must endure the embarrassing presence of a soldier. Because of this, Jeanne can not leave her chain well without risking being arrested. While the boat and her little world leave Paris for the Yonnaise campaign, Francois will do everything to help the young woman get news of her sister. Decidedly Gibrat is a formidable storyteller. Even if the reprieve and the flight of the raven take place during the hectic period of the German occupation and deal with the struggle led by the resistance, do not expect to find an overwhelming action or fierce fighting.

Badlands

A FANTASTIC WESTERN TO CUT THE BREATH! "His soul now walks in the world of spirits, raised by the wind away from the splendors of the earth. "- Yellow Wolf - At the end of the 19th century, Perla Ruiz-Tenguillo criss-crossed the south of North America as the head of a small group of adventurers. Its objective: to walk in the footsteps of its ancestor, the alchemist Hernan Ruiz-Tenguillo. For the invisible world venerated by the Indians and described by his grandfather two centuries earlier has not disappeared!
Perla and her companions left Arizona and are on their way to Vancouver Island. The young woman is in the footsteps of the grandfather who bequeathed to her many artifacts. It was to learn to use one of them that she embarked on this journey. But she arrives in a village prey to a curse and a struggle of the chiefs. Nothing is going to be simple. After a very disappointing first volume, to say that improvements were expected is a mild euphemism. The abandonment of monsters worthy of Lovecraft's imagination to take an interest in Amerindian legends is indeed good news. Unfortunately, it is the only one. The plot is always as thin as it is extremely agreed in its unfolding. In the ranks of the constants: the existence of a common thread is hardly evident and the heroine remains much more sexy (and hop! A little free bath scene in a lake) that credible. Badlands. A comic by Corbeyran, Eric and Kowalski, Piotr.

The Eye of the Dobermans

Soldier among the others in the Kaiser's army, Professor Arno Ixks prefers archeology treatises to the shells of the First World War. But when his instinct warns him of the imminence of an English attack, this convinced humanist braves all dangers to save his bellicose corporal ... the Gefreiter Adolf Hitler! The Eye of the Dobermans. A comic by Patrick Cothias and Beb Zanat.
Twenty years later, Hitler did not forget his savior. But, by way of thanks, he forces him to integrate the Ahnenerbe, his scientific division, under penalty of seeing die all his relatives. Indeed, the Führer needs Ixks to legitimate a theory according to which the Aryans would be the ancestors of humanity, guarantors of the superiority of the race. Sent to the confines of the Himalayas to investigate, Ixks will have to choose between his own and the Truth!

Sojourn

The enthusiastic and unanimous reception of booksellers, the press and the public at the publication of Volume I, in October 1997, created a sort of event around the Sursis. The immediate success of this work carried by word-of-mouth demonstrates once again that one does not cheat with the readers. Jean-Pierre Gibrat, a writer and draftsman in one person, gave them the best of himself: a detailed description of a situation that is difficult to accept, a fluid narration that makes this situation credible, images whose strength and Quality reinforce this credibility. It is, in short, the result of an admirable and long work on the substance and form, the savory fruit of a profound sincerity of the author.
In the small village of Cambeyrac, in Aveyron, the war occupies all the minds, but life does not stop for that: pastis on the terrace and part of bowls in front of the coffee, life could be harder without counting on the mobilization order, which sends all the young guys from the corner to the massacre, and the incursions of the German army into the streets of the village, which quickly reminded the population of a sad reality. Thus the thread of history takes place, between the obstinacy of some to ignore the conflict and the willingness of others to take an active part in it. The inhabitants of Cambeyrac are divided between those who await the arrival of the Allies with impatience and those who do not hide their sympathy for the cause of the occupier. Like a whole people and each one in their own way, all engage in a fratricidal struggle that sees the comrades of yesteryear fighting with arms in their hands. Sojourn.

Western Valley

United States of America, second part of the 19th century. While Lee Cutter, a cowboy reconverted as a bodyguard, paces an old, still uncivilized West with Elisa Fergusson, a young girl of good family, a mysterious band of killers sows terror in Silvertown. The bandits amuse themselves by terrorizing the farmers and cowherds, extorting a large ransom from them, under pain of making this city a cemetery.
But it is only a diversion. Scarcely the bandits receive the money that they burn it! And for good reason ! It's not after a few tickets that these jackals run, but after a much more important goal. But which one? Only one person seems capable of stopping them, before they plunge the country into chaos. This woman with a mysterious past has a special profile: a hired killer. And a name: Chicanas. Western Valley.

The Temple of the Past

Pilot assigned to a colonization expedition, Massir emerged from his cryogenic watch to discover himself shipwrecked from a ship in full damage. Of the entire crew, only two other members survived. To escape the hostile environment where they ran aground - a strange organic cavern filled with liquid chlorine - all three will have to resort to the resources of their advanced civilization, expert in genetic manipulation.
But the tensions soon appear between the three survivors: attraction, hatred and jealousy threaten the precarious balance of closed doors and make survival uncertain. Especially since Massir, propelled to the rank of commander and trying by all means to keep control of the situation, conceals a fragile spirit, haunted by the ghosts of his own past. The Temple of the Past. Etienne Le Roux, Jean-Louis Hubert.

I, Dragon

At Rosenthall Castle, everything is ready to celebrate King Belmont's birthday. The artists have just arrived and, one of the members of the troupe waiting for a happy imminent event, the others will ensure the show! But in the vicinity a number of unwanted guests crowded at the gates of Rosenthall: the formidable Troffen and his mercenaries, the volcano Ferona whose jolts make us fear the worst. Indeed, it is whispering that each eruption foreshadows the arrival of a great dragon!
Juan Gimenez is above all a draftsman. Here is more or less what emerges from the reading of this triptych published in one large volume by Glénat. Let us have a compassionate thought for those who had bought the first volume, edited by Le Lombard and left without follow-up, and then go into the heart of the matter. The scenario, without originality, is a mere pretext for a succession of pictures, scenes full of fury supposed to highlight the particular feature of the author of La Caste des Meta-Barons. Is the result up to par? If we just stick to the visual aspect, surely. Although a sometimes static side and a lack of precision in the faces could possibly be pointed, the final rendering fulfills its role: to put full view. I, Dragon.

Golden Dogs

1820, London. On the quays of the Thames the wealth from the eastern counters is crowded within reach, but the unfortunate who succumb to temptation are pitilessly punished. The misery that reigns under the fog of London is the occasion for many exactions, for to offer a place to the sun, when there are, there are only few solutions and the easiest is not the More honest! In January 2013, Griffo signed the first part of the mise en abyme by Valérie Mangin and, in November, the third opus of L'oracle della luna. 2014 will be equally prolific since already Fanny appears, first part of the tetralogy Golden dogs with Stephen Desberg to the script. Leaving the seventeenth century to go to dazzle in the early 19th century, the Belgian draftsman demonstrates his ability to account for the atmosphere of the eras he frequents.
They were four, two girls and two boys. Thieves, crooks, forgers, they united their talents to become together the most famous thieves in London.

12 September

A spy projected to the roots of a secular conflict. Duncan Hoke is an agent of the NSA, historian and specialist of the Middle East. His life changed on September 6, 2001: he lost the woman he loved, was betrayed by his superiors, and was immersed in a medieval conflict whose history books had never spoken. He could not Count on his good knowledge of the Islamic world and 15th-century Europe in an attempt to avoid the annihilation of two civilizations by trying to find the path that leads to reconciliation and peace among peoples. Fascinating uchronie through which Roger Seiter and Simone Gabrielli return to the origins of a conflict that has been blazing two worlds for centuries, to try to understand, but also to dream of peace. 12 September.

Promise

Idaho, 1864. The end of the American Civil War. The end of a troubled period, fraught with massacres, pillaging, chaos. Isolated at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, the small town of Promise is far from the fratricidal theatre of war, far from the terror, far from it all. Promise seems forgotten by men, by God even... But not by hell... Unsettling ambiance in the vast countryside of the American West. The arrival of Amos Laughton, a wandering preacher proclaming the imminent apocalypse and the coming of a new Messiah, disturbs the life of this small community which quickly falls under the spell of this prophet of the end times.
