Zagor

Zagor is an Italian comic book created by editor and writer Sergio Bonelli (pseudonym Guido Nolitta) and artist Gallieno Ferri. Zagor was first published In Italy by Sergio Bonelli Editore in 1961.
Zagor's real name is Patrick Wilding; he is the son of Mike and Betty. He is a western character living in a forest named Darkwood, located in Pennsylvania, north eastern United States. His name Zagor comes from its Indian name "Za-Gor Te-Nay", whose fictional meaning is "The Spirit with the Hatchet".
Though the writers don't mention exact dates, Zagor is supposed to be active during the first half of the 19th century, or around 1825–1830. Zagor fights to maintain peace over all his territory, protect the Indian tribes and hunt down criminals. Son of an army official retiring to live as a pioneer and trapper in the forests of the north-east, Patrick Wilding sees his parents die at the hands of a band of Abenaki Indians, led by Salomon Kinsky. Taken in by the middle-aged trapper nicknamed "Wandering Fitzy", the boy grows up with only one thought on his mind: revenge. Fitzy teaches him how to make a deadly weapon out of a hatchet, and when he is old enough to fulfill this he finds out that his father had himself slaughtered many Indians, and the boy's understanding of the relativity of the concepts of good, evil and justice compels him to transform himself (with his accomplices the Sullivans, a family of acrobats who are his image makers) into Za-Gor-Te-Nay.

Funky Koval

Funky Koval is a 4-part Polish science fiction/detective story/political fiction genre comic book published in People's Republic of Poland in the 1980s. The plot resolves around the figure of former military pilot and now space detective, Funky Koval, who with his friends and colleagues forms a private detective agency "Universs" and solves various cases in the futuristic world of the 2080s. His investigations range from corruption in the police and government, through fighting cultists and terrorists, investigating missing spaceships and illegal slave camps, to the mystery of the Drolls aliens, who seem to have a much more advanced technology than the humans, and whose plans for the humanity - if any - remain a mystery.

The Louvre Collection

The Louvre Collection Setting comics creators loose in the Louvre, and then letting a story come to them that is inspired by the works they come across. One of the premiere cultural institutions in the WORLD decided that it would be a great idea to create a "lasting bridge" between their artworks and the world of comics-and their readers. That's just huge.
The next volume in the striking collection in co-publication with the Louvre museum. An art assessor must evaluate the vast collections of the Louvre in an alternate Kafkaesque world where all is warehoused in an endless ever deepening succession of basement levels. Mathieu, an artist who marries Escher with Kafka, brings stinging irony to the pompousness of art history. After Glacial Period, another stunning volume.

The Vagabond of Limbo

The Vagabond of Limbo (French: Le Vagabond des Limbes) is a French science-fiction comic book series written by Christian Godard and illustrated by Julio Ribera, and published by Dargaud.
It follows the adventures of Axle Munshine, once known as "The Great Conciliator", and his companion Musky, child of the Prince of the Eternauts. Banished from his world for breaking the Thirteenth Commandment ("thou shalt not cross the threshold of sleep"), Axle roams the universe, searching for the woman he met in his dreams, Chimeer, who seems to be trapped in a world resembling ours. Axle Munshine sees Musky as a boy, but in fact she is a girl in her puberty and he does not seem to realise she is attracted to him. Musky does not grow up until she decides aging for the one who she fell in love with. It is suggested that Chimeer is Musky as an adult woman.

Giuseppe Bergman

Giuseppe Bergman is the Candide-like protagonist of the works of Italian cartoonist Milo Manara. The anti-heroic Italian youth stars in four graphic novels (comic books) which are an ironic deconstruction of adventure stories and comic books as a medium.
The first adventure, later collected for publication as HP et Giuseppe Bergman (The Great Adventure in Catalan’s English translation), was originally serialized in the Franco-Belgian comics magazine À Suivre beginning in 1978. Giuseppe Bergman appears as a dissatisfied 20-something longing for adventure. Seeking it, he responds to the advertisement of a mysterious company which sends him to HP, "the adventure master”: a caricature of and homage to famed Italian cartoonist Hugo Pratt. Bergman finds himself confronted by hoodlums, rioters, white slavers, drug addicts, revolutionaries, and natives, but his adventures are bumbling disasters as he is consistently unprepared for the situations he encounters. In later adventures, collected in the graphic novels An Author in Search of Six Characters, Dies Irae, Perchance to Dream, and To See the Stars, Bergman’s frustrating adventures take him through Africa, India, and the world of European art. Themes of art and illusion, fantasy and frustration, responsibility and human nature run through the stories.
Milo Manara is best known for his erotic work. This is an aspect of the Bergman stories which, while originally making an intellectual point, gradually comes to take over the series as a whole.

Click

Click! is a series of erotic Italian comic books written and illustrated by comic book creator Milo Manara. It was first published in 1983 as Il gioco in the Italian Playmen and as Déclic in L'Écho des savanes in France. Three sequels have followed, in 1991, 1994 and 2001.
The first volume features an attractive but passionless woman, Ms. Claudia Cristiani, who is married to an older, rich man. After she is abducted by a scientist and a remote-controlled device is surgically implanted into her brain, its activation makes her become sexually insatiable. The three sequels roughly follow a similar story.

The Law of the 12 Tables

A young woman comes to find Asphodel, the most gifted witch of her generation, to ask for her help. The dreams that haunt her nights seem more and more real and threatening. It is to Andrews, expert in influence, that it will be directed. Did she say everything? Is this affair related to the massacre that was committed on a Sabbath? So here is open the imposing 2006-2007 almanac of Asphodèle! With its 12 chapters-months of 30 boards, the event is undoubtedly as much in the formula retained for its publication as in the album itself.
The first four volumes of the series of which it is the prolongation had indeed not allowed to perceive a potential able to make impatience to the standard amateur of esoteric to the announcement of a rhythm of bimonthly exit. But the current trend is to beat the iron as long as it is hot and create a regular buying habit even more than arousing. The Law of the 12 Tables.

Inspector Moroni

Inspector Moroni is a concentrate of the neuroses of our society. His job allows him to use his sense of analysis, which he believes infallible. But his paranoid tendency locks him up in a world where he sees only schemes and plots. The cheerful adventures of an Inspector Harry under tranquilizers.
No holiday for Inspector Moroni! Still psychogenic, he is reminded of his leave to negotiate a delicate taking of hostages. But how was the life of innocent people entrusted to this guy who does not understand anything? Simply because of a new concept of crisis management: "fire by fire", facilitate dialogue by sending a negotiator of the same character as the hostage taker. And there it is a well lit psychopate. Moroni is therefore entirely chosen to discuss with Eugene Puthoff, inventor of a water engine, or former storekeeper and sexual pervert according to the versions of each. Is it a drama or a comedy? On reading this album, we do not know if we should laugh or cry so much the two kinds mix. Between the misunderstandings linked to the profoundly naive character of this stuck cop, a sort of Mr Magoo whose myopia lies within his cortex, and the reality of a life puffed by maternal omnipresence.

Set in 11th century Europe, the series concerns the efforts of the wandering noble Sir Aymar de Bois-Maury, knight, to reclaim his ancestral home, Bois-Maury. All albums have been written and drawn by Hermann, except Rodrigo, Dulle Griet and Vassya, all written by his son Yves H.
