Mysteries of the Third Republic

The far-right leagues of the 30s, Vichy, the collaboration with Germany, the purification, the Cold War, the events of Algeria, the African oil ... Philippe Richelle revisits the History of France for years 30 in our day in a great detective series carried by three talented designers: Pierre Wachs, Alfio Buscaglia and François Ravard. In three cycles of independent stories, police investigating crimes will enter the obscure meanders of the great history, sometimes showing it in its most ignored aspects. Cassio

Rome, 145 CE: Cassio, a prominent lawyer who once saved the Emperor’s life, wakes in the night to noises. Four assassins have entered his villa and overpowered his formidable slave, the warrior Alva. He seems to know them, and knows why they have come… Ephesus, present day: archeologist Ornella Grazzi finds a ruin with a fresco of Cassio’s face. The papyrus scrolls inside tell the beginning of a story she has long suspected and been searching for clues to all her life: how Cassio survived his own assassination and came back from the dead for vengeance…Script by Stephen Desberg - Art by Henri Reculé.

Infinity 8

The city-sized, deep-space cruise ship "Infinity 8" stops halfway en route between the Milky Way and Andromeda, blocked by a massive field of debris containing wreckage and artifacts from countless planets, cultures, and possibly dimensions. The captain of the ship calls upon eight of the ship's top security to investigate the anomaly, each one sent out in a parallel time-loop to collect information which can then be assembled to hopefully discover the truth before disaster erupts. But danger reveals itself within the interspecies population on the ship, some of whom may know more than they lead on . . . A far-out, pulpy, sci-fi series of parallel adventures by some of the most popular creators in France, in the tongue-in-cheek tradition of the original Heavy Metal but for a new generation. Eight different 3-issue miniseries/hardcover collections, all by a different creative team, led by legendary Lewis Trondheim and Olivier Vatine. Part One of the first 3-part arc, "Love and Mummies."

The Marvelous Adventures of McConey

McConey, a creature of the lagomorpha genus, is a rather extraordinary rabbit. Firstly, he talks… and intelligibly at that! Secondly, he moves around like any other comic hero, in a world that changes… with each album! In the first episode, we find him out in the Wild West in the time of saloons and poker, and in the second, roving round a modern-day big city, living a normal (?) life… Trondheim’s “McConey” is a series unlike any other, full of unexpected charm, humor, and eccentricity. Script & Art by Lewis Trondheim.

On a screen, a message addressed to the inhabitants of the Earth; on Mars, cosmonauts find a series of enigmatic objects. Following their track, they arrive on the slopes of the highest eminence of Mars, Mount Olympus, where they discover the carcass of a spaceship. In the Moment

“In the Moment” is a modern Romeo and Juliet in two different time dimensions. In this unusual love story, Dutch author Hanco Kolk and Flemish author Kim Duchateau have found a particular way of working together, in which each of them draws one time dimension. Rafael Falstaff falls hopelessly in love with Sylvia, a chronowoman. He can see her, but he doesn’t see her move, nor can he touch her, because they would both die if he did. But he’s happy with just seeing her, until he realizes her life is in danger. He then decides to take action, with all that it entails… Script by Hanco Kolk - Art by Kim Duchateau, Hanco Kolk.

Non Album Collections 173

The Sound of the World by Heart (2017)

An experiment in social isolation turns into a journey of self-discovery as a photojournalist commits to spending sixty days in New York city without talking to a single person. More than just an exercise in observation and self-control, he's hoping to forget a troubled past and mend a broken heart. But the city has a sneaky way of throwing the best laid plans and noble efforts to waste, revealing secrets that lie right in front of him. All he has to do is open his eyes . . . A touching, vividly illustrated journey through contemporary modern New York, exploring what it takes to find yourself—and maybe your soul mate—in the middle of a crowded, bustling modern world. By Giacomo Bevilacqua (Author, Artist)

The Season of Eels (One shot)

History in four seasons, history of hate and scorn, tenderness and love. Glaucous swampy world where everything rotten, stone, money, people. A comic book by Denis Lapière and Pierre Bailly.
The action takes place at the “Poitevin marches”, where a family lives devastated by shameful, contradictory and violent passions. Center of this tale; a sort of “simpleton” a mute who spend his life running in the forest and in his canoe.. The only hope for this world at the edge of drowning, it’s the heat of skin, the fugitive tenderness of hearts.

No Words 03 - Infierno

A humor wordless comic. Scenario: Faraci, Tito. Drawing: Ziche, Silvia.
