Scattered Pages (Europe Comics 2022)

All Max wants to do with his life is make comics, and all his parents do is discourage him. His life takes a turn for the hopeful when a mysterious recluse, a Parisian comics veteran, buys a ruined chateau in the woods near Max’s house. His appearance is echoed by the arrival of a mysterious peddler with a printing press in the medieval village of Max’s comic, in which a monk is busily spinning a tale of Max’s daughter Suzie, all grown up and an illustrator in her own right. Tales nest in tales in Alexandre Clérisse’s dizzyingly intricate musing on creation.

Balls Up - A Contraceptive Journey (Europe Comics 2022)

Bobika is a man who has been practicing birth control since 2016. This is the sometimes moving, and often enlightening, story of his journey as he explores the methods of contraception available to him. Full of nutty anecdotes and accounts of his meetings and discussions with sociologists, doctors, and feminists, “Balls Up” is a reminder that, in addition to a personal choice, (male) contraception is above all a social issue. Script by Bobika - Art by Bobika

Evolution, Darwin, God, and the Horse-People (Europe Comics 2022)

Script by Jean-Baptiste De Panafieu - Art by Alexandre Franc. “Evolution” is a documentary comic book about the theory of evolution. But it is also a sometimes zany work of fiction in which actors put on a play about Darwinian evolution and its political extensions. During the writing and rehearsing of the play, they will be confronted by an evangelical sect that wants to promote creationism and thus stop the play from being performed at all costs. They’ll also cross paths with a rich transhumanist industrialist who wants to influence the text… After their previous collaboration on “Extinctions,” Alexandre Franc and Jean-Baptiste de Panafieu enlighten and entertain once again!

Atomic Empire (2019)

An astonishing and captivating original graphic novel by Thierry Smolderen and Alexandre Clérisse. Inspired by a real psychological case, Atomic Empire is both a psychiatric enigma and a space opera.

Atom Agency 01 - The Begum's Jewels (2019)

Script by Yann - Art by Olivier Schwartz. Atom Vercorian is trying to make it as a private detective in post-war Paris, and he just needs that one big case to make a name for himself. His father, a police detective, isn’t making any headway in the case of a jewelry theft in the south of France. Atom, however, gets a lead that takes him and his partners, Mimi and Jojo, south to Marseille, where they meet ex-resistance fighters, gangsters, and henchmen. With audacity and enthusiasm, Atom and his cohorts dance their way through the worlds of organized crime, pro wrestling, and the ultra-rich in the pursuit of Miss France 1930’s stolen jewels. This could be Atom’s big break—if he survives the experience!

The Big Empty Life of Alphonse Tabouret (2018)

The Big Empty Life of Alphonse Tabouret is an existential fairy tale about Life, Love, Loss, and the search for answers to questions we all ask nobody in particular. While cute and silly on the surface, almost every encounter is metaphorical (without being heavy-handedly so). This adorably engaging and heartwarming tale invites the reader to decipher the life lessons gleaned by Alphonse in personal terms that speak to today's social conditions. Through the innocent lens of simple, cute characterization, readers are presented with honest questions about parenting, materialism, addiction, codependency, narcissism, depression, and the search for meaning that we all undergo every day.
