Girlsplaining - A (Sorta) Memoir (2021)

Story and art by Katja Klengel. For fans of Kid Gloves and Waves comes a new original graphic novel by cartoonist Katja Klengel tackling the subjects that have shaped her life: from body shaming to the exploration of herfemale sexuality, from the representation of women in the media to the social pressure on women who have not yet started a family. * Why do we fear the word "vulva"? * Do we really have to be ashamed of our body hair? * Why do gender roles in children's toys seem to be stuck in the '50s? With a sense of humor, an open heart, and unsparing candor, Klengel draws inspiration from her own life as she examines what being a woman today means to her (and really, a whole lot of us!).

Anastasia 01 (2019)

Script by Magdalena Lankosz - Art by Joanna Karpowicz. 1926. A mother and her young daughter come to Los Angeles. The mother is chasing her dream: she wants to conquer Hollywood, no matter the cost. Her little girl, Anastasia, is the perfect candidate to be cinema’s next big star. But can she stand the pressure? The clash of dreams and the dirty reality of show business is a heavy burden to bear, as Anastasia comes face to face with the crime, abuse, and murky secrets of an all-powerful industry. A story that calls into question the so-called golden era of Hollywood, when the “dream factory” resembled a Byzantine empire, above the law and fed by vanity and greed.

Barcelona at Dawn (2019)

The year is 1923. On a hot summer night, four corpses wash up at the port of Barcelona. When Journalist Pere Marsé investigates these murders he is shocked to discover that one of the victims is in fact a German policeman. As he digs even deeper, Marsé soon realizes this is only the tip of what turns out to be an intricate plot of both criminal and political intrigue. As each layer of the onion is peeled away, more questions than answers come to the surface. Anarchists, local police, German nationals, French Secret Service and Military leaders all play their parts. This fascinating book -- based on real circumstances and characters -- recounts events that happened in Barcelona in the early 1920s. These events were a direct reason why Hitler failed with his attempted coup in Munich on November 8, 1923.
