In the skies of France during the Great War, a red-painted fighter is chasing a British SPAD. The relentless German pilot eventually wounds his opponent mortally, and lands near the downed Briton to watch him die, confessing his delight in war and victory. Ten years earlier, a young Manfred Von Richthofen is attending a military academy in Berlin when, during an incident with classmates, he comes to realise he has an unnatural gift. Jules Verne and the Astrolabe of Urania

Summer, 1839. Still just a starry-eyed child, Jules Verne runs away from home. His youthful adventure leads him to the port of Nantes, where he witnesses a strange scene: A man obtains an astrolabe that is said to possess fabulous powers,  28 years later, the author sets sail for the Americas to find his inspiration. On board, he thinks he recognizes the woman he once adored, whom he had believed to be dead… But who is the mysterious scholar named Orpheus, who seems to be holding her prisoner? What is this man plotting, and how might he be connected to what Jules saw as a child? To find out, Jules decides to track Orpheus down.
