Azimut (2022)

This Crayon d'Or prize-winning graphic novel is an incredible Terry Gilliam-esque fantasy tale, penned by the award-winning author of the acclaimed Valerian spin-off. Azimut features a host of quirky characters in a colourful fantasy world whose lives are turned upside down when the magnetic North pole simply disappears! Writer: Wilfrid Lupano. Artist: Jean-Baptiste Andreae.

The Art of Mastantuono (2010)

Many artists are versatile. Corrado Mastantuono is something more: an artist who can change his style from Disney cartoon-like adventures to detailed fantasy universes to the movie-like black and white world of Bonelli Comics characters. Start a journey through unknown and magic, with surprises on every page. It’s your chance to have a look at unpublished concept art and less known work. The best of Corrado Mastantuono, finally collected in volume.

Jon Rohner (2019)

The end of the 19th century, the twilight of sailing ships, and the picturesque islands of the South Pacific, are the setting for these history-laced adventures. Jon Rohner, a likeable sailor who lives on the edge of the law, tells his stories to Robert Louis Stevenson -- the famed author of such classics as Treasure Island and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde -- who has settled on the Samoa islands and befriended Rohner. Through Rohner's stories we are taken into a world full of excitement, action and drama: from his kidnapping a princess to prevent a war between two tribes; to a story about a man who fell in love with a cannibal queen, left his family and got tattooed over his whole body and face; to Rohner's surviving a tsunami and volcano eruption. The stories -- Rohner's adventures -- are seemingly in endless supply.

Lucy (Heavy Metal compilation)

The oldest story in the world, magnified by Liberatore At the end of the 1970s, a discovery changed the face of the world: the almost complete skeleton of a specimen of Australopithecus, the oldest common ancestor of mankind, was unearthed in the Afar triangle in Ethiopia. But who was this woman named "Lucy" after the Beatles song? In this comic book with a romantic breath, remarkable for its scientific veracity, we follow the timid footsteps of our ancestor in his awakening to consciousness. A journey made of dangers and discoveries, rocked by the starry night where all the mystery of the world is hidden. Told with poetry by Patrick Norbert, carried by the breathtaking ultra-realism of Liberatore and produced under the supervision of Yves Coppens (author of a very nice afterword) Lucy is an album for dreaming and reflecting on ourselves. A wonderful album to go back to the sources of our history.

This alien-apocalypse horror is by Jerry Frissen, writer of Lucha Libre, with stunning art by Peter Snejbjerg (Starman, The Light Brigade, The Books of Magic).
