Thick Skins (2022)

A breathtaking manhunt in the form of an elegant space opera. Thick-skins are humans genetically modified to work in space without a suit. Lark is a former thick-skinned man who became a mercenary after having his skin removed. When he receives an encrypted message from his former clan, he sets out to find them with the help of Windy, an anthropology student. But he soon learns that they are not the only ones on the clan’s scent—they are being tailed by another group of mercenaries. A breathless chase ensues, forcing Lark to reconnect with his dark past (Humanoids: 104 pages).

Tangier in the Rain (Europe Comics 2022)

 In 1912, Matisse is feeling a little fed up. In Paris, Picasso is hogging the limelight, so Matisse decides it’s time for some fresh air, a little space, and a different kind of light. That’s it, he’ll cross the Mediterranean and start painting a new kind of nature. He’s going to Tangier. Problem is, when he finally gets there, it starts raining. In Villa de France, his palatial hotel looking down over Tangier, he has to make do with painting what he can: his bedroom. No matter who’s causing trouble, Margo knows exactly what to do—the neighborhood kids say monsters are afraid of her. It's a good thing, because Echo City's trolls, ogres, and ghosts all have one thing in common: they don't like Charles very much (Papercutz: 137 pages).
