Dampyr

Dampyr is a series in comic books published by Sergio Bonelli Editore . The creators Dampyr are Mauro Boselli and Maurizio Colombo. Originally planned as a mini-series, Dampyr started as a regular Bonelli volume after the closing of Zona X, that was mainly written by the same authors, and because the publisher was trying to launch some new titles. It's published monthly since 2000. Harlan Draka, born in 1945 in a small village lost his mother who died in childbirth, and almost without having ever seen his father, grew up haunted by the bad reputation of being the son of a witch. Once grown, ekes out a living wandering in the neighboring countries together with a young boy, Yuri, posing as a dampyr, a son of a vampire and a human woman, can eliminate hypothetical cases of vampirism in people already dead.
His life will come to a turning point when, called by Kurjak, a rude soldier at the head of a small troop of men, in a local war infested with vampires , he discovers to be a really dampyr thanks to Tesla, a vampire which soon will become his ally. The blood of dampyr is poisonous for the Masters of the Night , a race of supervampiri which infests our world; Harlan therefore decided to dedicate his life to their destruction, accompanied by faithful companions Kurjak and Tesla. Also it receives the financial and moral help of Caleb Lost, an Amesha representative of one of the two "sides" that for millennia vie for domination of reality.

Zagor

Zagor is an Italian comic book created by editor and writer Sergio Bonelli (pseudonym Guido Nolitta) and artist Gallieno Ferri. Zagor was first published In Italy by Sergio Bonelli Editore in 1961.
Zagor's real name is Patrick Wilding; he is the son of Mike and Betty. He is a western character living in a forest named Darkwood, located in Pennsylvania, north eastern United States. His name Zagor comes from its Indian name "Za-Gor Te-Nay", whose fictional meaning is "The Spirit with the Hatchet".
Though the writers don't mention exact dates, Zagor is supposed to be active during the first half of the 19th century, or around 1825–1830. Zagor fights to maintain peace over all his territory, protect the Indian tribes and hunt down criminals. Son of an army official retiring to live as a pioneer and trapper in the forests of the north-east, Patrick Wilding sees his parents die at the hands of a band of Abenaki Indians, led by Salomon Kinsky. Taken in by the middle-aged trapper nicknamed "Wandering Fitzy", the boy grows up with only one thought on his mind: revenge. Fitzy teaches him how to make a deadly weapon out of a hatchet, and when he is old enough to fulfill this he finds out that his father had himself slaughtered many Indians, and the boy's understanding of the relativity of the concepts of good, evil and justice compels him to transform himself (with his accomplices the Sullivans, a family of acrobats who are his image makers) into Za-Gor-Te-Nay.

Julia

Julia-le avventure di una criminologa (Italian: Julia, adventures of a criminologist), known simply as Julia, is an Italian comic book series created by Giancarlo Berardi and edited by Sergio Bonelli Editore. The protagonist, Julia Kendall, is a criminologist, and the stories are usually in the crime fiction genre.
The series tell the stories of Julia Kendall, a young criminologist from the fictional Garden City in New Jersey. She works as a professor at Hollyhock University and as a freelance consultant to the local police, helping them to solve crimes. The cases Julia deals with put her in extremely dangerous situations, as her skills in psychology and her relations with Garden City Police Department lead her on the trail of vicious serial killers (above all the ruthless Myrna Harrod, a recurring character in the series) and unscrupulous criminals. Other cases involve her in classic whodunnit scenarios.
Alongside her in their investigations are the surly lieutenant Alan Webb and the friendly sergeant "Big" Ben Irving, as well as his friend and private investigator Leo Baxter. Characteristic of the series is the extensive use of Julia's diary, where the protagonist writes her thoughts and impressions about the cases, working as a first-person narration. In some albums, the storytelling is done by other characters in the series (like Myrna Harrod or sergeant Irving).
