Walter Melon - Magnesia's Treasure (Achille Talon)

Achille Talon is a Franco-Belgian comics series created by Greg (the pseudonym of Michel Regnier). Out of 46 (43 +3 post Greg era) comics, only one (#16 - Le Trésor de Virgule (1977)) was published in English as Magnesia's Treasure in 1981. Walter Melon, a walking, talking encyclopedia, was born to solve any problem conceivable! In this adventure, Melon heads into the dark jungle to face perilous dangers and discover the location of a lost diamond mine.

Waterloo (2016)

What really happened that June 18th 1815 when European history changed forever? This rigorously researched graphic novel recounts the entire chronology of events through the fate – and the point of vue – of several symbolic characters: a member of Napoleon’s Old Guard, an English soldier, a military doctor, a Prussian drummer, a troop follower, and a local farmwife. Of course, you will also come across Napoleon Bonaparte, the Duke of Wellington, the Prince of Orange, and Field Marshal Blücher. The album was created by Mor, a veteran illustrator of historical graphic novels and by scriptwriter Thierry Bonneyrat under the direction of Patrice Courcelle, world-renowned history expert.

Sun (2018) (Europe Comics)

The child is the result of a drunken roll in the hay the mother has after a fight with her family. Filled with shame and guilt, the mother is incapable of showing the child love and affection. Her father, the boy’s grandfather, sees the boy as the son he never had and the heir to his fortune. He takes care of the boy and the bond between the two grows very strong.

The Fulgur

Stonehenge

446, Christian Era, a Pelagian monastery in the British archipelago, sees the arrival of Germain, a powerful bishop from Rome to verify that the monastic rules are well respected. During the excavations of the rooms, the monk Ninian will be eliminated from the theft of a manuscript prohibited by the dogma, referring to the stone of Fal. According to legends, the latter is the center of the universe, brought by the gods long ago, it is the key that leads an artefact offering its possessor full powers. This stone will be the object of all covetousness. Ninian manages to escape, but the emissary Germain discovers the existence of this stone and seeks to obtain it, with the aim of countering the Breton alliances. It is a war of power, but also a diplomatic one that will play out.

Redemption

If the second crusade conducted in the middle of the 12th century ended in failure, the extreme violence and massacres perpetuated by the army of Louis VII left many soldiers traumatized. Adhémar de Montfort is one of them and lives now recluse and poor in the County of Rouergue. At the dawn of a third crusade, decided by Pope Gregory VIII in 1189, he has the opportunity to atone for his crimes. Black Crow's Stories

Through the story of a frigate, become a witness to the independence of the American people in the Age of Enlightenment. In 1778, in the arsenal of Rochefort the frigate L'Hermione is started according to the plans of the engineer Chevillard Senior. For nearly a year, carpenters, piercers, caulkers, blacksmiths and convicts took turns to build this vessel of nearly 45 meters, with a wing of 1500 m2, 26 guns that can shoot 12-pound balls. For those who make into the book, Paul Baron, a judge at the publication, is a hero. For others, whose dreams he denies, he’s a villain. After one man’s plan to achieve renown is destroyed, Paul learns that the man may have lost everything else, but he hasn’t lost hope—the hope of joining other record-breakers in the book. But the record the man hopes to break is terrible, and Paul unfortunately has a role in his project.

UH-OH PLATO! (2018)
