Through the story of a frigate, become a witness to the independence of the American people in the Age of Enlightenment. In 1778, in the arsenal of Rochefort the frigate L'Hermione is started according to the plans of the engineer Chevillard Senior. For nearly a year, carpenters, piercers, caulkers, blacksmiths and convicts took turns to build this vessel of nearly 45 meters, with a wing of 1500 m2, 26 guns that can shoot 12-pound balls. In 1779, Gilbert Motier, Marquis de La Fayette, sought official and firm support from France for the conflict between England and its thirteen colonies in North America. Louis XVI agrees to provide military and financial assistance to the men of General Washington and orders La Fayette to embark on L'Hermione to fight alongside the insurgents. A comic book by Jean-Yves Delitte.
