Deathburger Unit B378 is an artist who's been creating very slick cyberpunk artwork for years now. Considering that the "cyberpunk future" is not going to happen, this vision is obsolete but the art is so cool nonetheless. If you're a fan of moebius and Geoff Darrow, you'll LOVE this.

Moebius-Paradis-Dante

One of the masters of contemporary comics, he has also lent his visionary imagination to cinema, creating the settings for cult films such as Blade Ranner, Tron, Dune, Alien and finally the Fifth Element. In 1998 it was celebrated in Italy by an important exhibition, Infinito, hosted in Palermo (magazzini Ferroviari ai Lolli), Milan (Palazzo Bagatti Valsecchi), Venice (Fondazione Querini Stampalia). In 2000 an anthology was presented in Naples, at the Città della Scienza.

The Forest

The Forest is a graphic novella told via twenty-five singular illustrations, without words, of which only Swiss artist Thomas Ott is capable. A young boy sneaks away from a family funeral and sinks into the forest depths, where he confronts man's greatest fear and must choose his path. Drawing with a technique called scratchboard, where a white surface is covered with a black layer and scratched away, Ott creates images out of negative space to harrowing effect.

Metal Hurlant (repost)

Métal hurlant is a French comics anthology of science fiction and horror comics stories, created in December 1974 by comics artists Jean Giraud (better known as Mœbius) and Philippe Druillet together with journalist-writer Jean-Pierre Dionnet and financial director Bernard Farkas.

The four were collectively known as "Les Humanoïdes Associés" (United Humanoids), which became the name of the publishing house releasing Métal hurlant. It was published in the United States by National Lampoon under the title Heavy Metal. ISSN 0336-4747 (Métal Hurlant Aventure).

When I first saw it, I was weirded out how young Doll of Jade looked exactly like the Gypsy girl I dated one summer.

moebius - The Major - expanded edition+extras (2018)

The Major is at another mystical spiritual quest again, this time hunting for a key that will enable him to dream any dream he wants to. I'm not sure if this should have even been published, it is essentially a sketchbook drawings by moebius started in 1997. Moebius worked on it on and off untill 2009. It started with him just goofing around, the actual story begins at page 100. It was published in 2018, long after moebius' death.

Temudjin (2022)

A child is born in an ancient distant land, celebrated by the shamen Ozbeg who senses the spirit of greatness inside him. This boy, Temudjin, must be guided to listen to the voices of nature around him, for one day, he will lead the Mongol clans to glory as the great Genghis Khan. Final Incal (repost)

The story from the unfinished After the Incal was rewritten to provide a separate narrative for this volume. The story starts after The Incal climax in which John DiFool encountered flowing-beareded divine being named Orh, witnessing a universe-shaking event, hurtling towards certain death in the acid lake. DiFool forgets about the cosmical encounter, and recovers his memory as the universe faces a threat of a metallic virus. The Prezident was cloned in metallic body, equipped with both chemical and brutal weapons, but also altered mind - operating under the influence of the "destroyer of all living things", the Bentacodon (equivalent to The Incal's Black Egg). He unleashed destructive organic virus called the Biophage 13-X with the purpose of forcing the population to abandon their natural bodies in favor of robotic ones.

The only way to counteract is to reunite John DiFool with his true love, Luz de Garra (from Before the Incal), and the Elohim (a force of goodness) makes four John DiFools from different realities to encounter each other on a quest to find her. It is ridiculed the ego of the allegedly evolved guru DiFool and the super-evolved "angelic" DiFool, and the least enlightened DiFool, the ugliest and most craven, is selected to save the universe. In the end, the cosmic humanity managed to become one collective consciousness, as a true love saves from turning into unfeeling metallic beings. Final Incal.

The Incal (repost)

The Incal (French: L'Incal) is a French graphic novel series written by Alejandro Jodorowsky and originally illustrated by Jean Giraud. The Incal, with first pages originally released as Une aventure de John Difool ("A John Difool Adventure") in Métal hurlant and published by Les Humanoïdes Associés, introduced Jodorowsky's "Jodoverse" (or "Metabarons Universe"), a fictional universe in which his science fiction comics take place. It is an epic space opera blending fantastical intergalactic voyage, science, technology, political intrigues, conspiracies, messianism, mysticism, poetry, debauchery and satire. The Incal includes and expands the concepts and artwork from the abandoned film project Dune directed by Jodorowksy and designed by Giraud from the early 1970s.

Originally published in installments between 1981 and 1988, and followed by Before the Incal (1988–1995, with Zoran Janjetov), After the Incal (2000, with Jean Giraud), and Final Incal (2008–2014, with José Ladrönn) has been described as a contender for "the best comic book" in the medium's history. From it spin-off related series Metabarons, The Technopriests, and Mégalex.

Madwoman of the Sacred Heart (repost)

La Faune de Mars (2018)

Philippe Druillet - short stories translated

Philippe Druillet is one of the best European BD artists from the 1970s and 1980s, and it was great when Heavy Metal magazine began translating and publishing his work in the 1970s.

The Hunted Hunter

by Moebius. Drawn between 2005 and 2008. Moebius was obviously feeling death approaching so he was frantically studying and practicing Carlos Castaneda's "The Art of Dreaming". The French edition's name is "The depressed Hunter" but we prefer "The Hunted Hunter", the Spanish name.
