Herakles

Stefano Andreucci started in comics collaborating on Italian newspapers and works for advertising. Subsequently, he produced erotic stories and horror. He is also an illustrator for the publishing group Mondadori, and works from the 1990s to the famous Italian publisher.

Alix Senator

In September 12, 2012 the first volume of Alix Senator titled Eagles Blood 3 has been released , written by Valérie Mangin and designed by Thierry Démarez. The story of Senator Alix takes place when Augustus was named emperor, more than twenty years after the adventures of Alix. Alix became a senator and lives in Rome with his son Titus and Chephren's son Enak (the latter apparently died in Egypt in circumstances still unknown following the death of Cleopatra and Mark Antony). The savage murder of his friend Agrippa (brother of Augustus) by an eagle with golden talons the fate of his adventurous retirement. Who could commit such a crime and why? Both children attend in his task. 

12 BC. Marcus Aemilius Lepidus, chief pontiff of Rome, Agrippa, designated successor of the powerful Emperor Augustus, are mysteriously murdered by eagles tearing the bowels. Alarmed by these events, Auguste load his old friend Senator Gracchus Alix investigate discreetly. An investigation will lead Alix, assisted by his son Titus and Khafre (own offspring Enak, Alix adopted after the disappearance of it) on the trail of the enigmatic master of birds. Yet the danger persists to proceed further to the emperor in person, more and more closely. And Alix will finally discover that the most dangerous raptors nestles in the heart of Rome, where no one could suspect.

The Scorpion

The Scorpion is a Franco-Belgian comics series written by Stephen Desberg, illustrated by Enrico Marini and published by Dargaud in French and Cinebook in English.

The story takes place in Rome during the second half of the eighteenth century. Cardinal Trebaldi decides to reinstate the power of the nine families, based on papacy. Armando Catalano, also known as The Scorpion, is a holy relics dealer. He is the son of a heretic who was burnt alive for misdirecting a priest from the church and Christian beliefs. Armando, the bearer the “mark of the devil”, a birthmark in the shape of a scorpion, will challenge the cardinal’s authority. The cardinal, who seems to be filled with hatred for The Scorpion, sends the young gypsy Mejai specialized in poisons to kill him. The adventures of the Scorpion lead him to the treasure of the Templars and to discover an interpretation of what might have happened to it. Between fiction and history, this comic distills Machiavellian theory on religious authority.

Asterix

Asterix or The Adventures of Asterix (French: Astérix or Astérix le Gaulois, IPA: [asteʁiks lə ɡolwa]) is a series of French comics. The series first appeared in the Franco-Belgian comics magazine Pilote on 29 October 1959. It was written by René Goscinny and illustrated by Albert Uderzo until the death of Goscinny in 1977. Uderzo then took over the writing until 2009, when he sold the rights to publishing company Hachette. As of 2013, 35 volumes have been released.

The series follows the exploits of a village of indomitable Gauls as they resist Roman occupation. They do so by means of a magic potion, brewed by their druid called Getafix in the English translations, which gives the recipient superhuman strength. The protagonist, the titular character Asterix, along with his friend Obelix have various adventures. The "ix" ending of both names (as well as all the other pseudo-Gaulish "ix" names in the series)alludes to the "rix" suffix (meaning "king") present in the names of many real Gaulish chieftains such as Vercingetorix, Orgetorix, and Dumnorix. Many of the stories have them travel to foreign countries, though others are set in and around their village. For much of the history of the series (Volumes 4 through 29), settings in Gaul and abroad alternated, with even-numbered volumes set abroad and odd-numbered volumes set in Gaul, mostly in the village.
The Asterix series is one of the most popular Franco-Belgian comics in the world, with the series being translated into over 100 languages, and it is popular in most European countries.
The success of the series has led to the adaptation of several books into 13 films: nine animated, and four live action. There have also been a number of games based on the characters, and a theme park near Paris, Parc Astérix. To date, 325 million copies of 34 Asterix books have been sold worldwide, making co-creators René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo France's bestselling authors abroad.
