Chevalier Brayard (2017)

Chevalier Brayard is on his way back home from the crusades, accompanied by the young monk Rignomer. On their travels, they cross paths with a young girl, Princess Hadiyatallah, who turns out to be a hostage on the run. Brayard does not hesitate for a moment: he decides to escort the princess back to the orient to return her to her father in exchange for a ransom, and drags Rignomer along on the adventure. Philippe Tome, Mac Hardy - FIRE 1 (2005) (Scantilation)

A rocket carrying a human baby girl crashes on a distant planet where intelligent dinosaurs have developed a civilization. I really like Hardy's cartoonish style here. Unfortunately, due to disagreements between the creators and the publisher, the series will not be continued, even though a second album was written and drawn. Some nudity and violence.

Griffo - Beatifica Blues vol 1

The world has become a vast desert and to survive, humans need the Beatifica Blues, a little miracle pill to breathe. This pill has become the currency, and it is the government that manages it. Beatifica Blues is a 1980s post apocalyptic fiction so it is somewhat dated but that's fine, it is still million times better than your average American comic. The series was 3 volumes, and is simply the prologue of the Samba Bugatti series. The plot isn't very logical at times and Dufaux himself admits it, but it was an early work by him.

Authorised Happiness

When society pushes the ideals of equality to their breaking point, the result can easily become plain absurd. In order to avoid the chronic budget deficit of the healthcare system, for instance, what better way is there but to become a nanny state? Even if it leads to the Medical Police imposing fines on anyone not watching the weather forecast… Three Kafkaesque stories that paint a frightening picture of an over-regulated world. Sherman

United States, early 1950s. Jay Sherman, a mythical figure of the self-made-man, is a gifted man: he has devoted his life and fortune to the success of his children, Robert and Jeannie. Golden Dogs

1820, London. On the quays of the Thames the wealth from the eastern counters is crowded within reach, but the unfortunate who succumb to temptation are pitilessly punished. In January 2013, Griffo signed the first part of the mise en abyme by Valérie Mangin and, in November, the third opus of L'oracle della luna. 2014 will be equally prolific since already Fanny appears, first part of the tetralogy Golden dogs with Stephen Desberg to the script. Leaving the seventeenth century to go to dazzle in the early 19th century, the Belgian draftsman demonstrates his ability to account for the atmosphere of the eras he frequents.

Giacomo C.

Giacomo C. is a Belgian comic series by writer Jean Dufaux and cartoonist Griffo alias Werner Goelen . The strip is colored by Anne Black Aert. The comic series is slightly based on the memoirs of Giacomo Casanova, the greatest lover of the Renaissance period. The storyline is what to call savage, brutal and most mysterious allowing the strip and main character develop its own identity. 

According to him, the writer Jean Dufaux the first five stories based on the memoirs and stories about the Italian Casanova, and then for the first time to Venice traveled, the city that is central to the strip. There he studied the history of the city and the stories about his main character. The first six albums were in the mid 90 issued by Blitz , and from 2002 reissued and continued with number seven by publisher Glenat.
