Barbarella (repost)

Barbarella is a fictional heroine in a French science fiction comic book created by Jean-Claude Forest. Jean-Claude Forest created the character of Barbarella for serialization in the French V Magazine in spring 1962, and in 1964 Eric Losfeld published these strips as a stand-alone book, titled Barbarella.

The book caused a scandal and became known as the first "adult" (pornographic) comic-book, though its eroticism was slight and the American erotic comic-books known as "Tijuana bibles" had long predated it. For her creator, the character embodied the modern, emancipated woman in the era of sexual liberation, and as a result, this literary work has come to be associated with the mid-twentieth-century sexual revolution.

Megalex (repost)

Megalex city is an industrial perfection. It has spread almost all over the planet, destroying everything that is natural, random, abnormal. Megalex works correctly, with the perfection of the artificial. Police are cloned so that they are all the same, perfect, and can fight for Megalex during his four days of life. This is a happy world, as would Aldous Huxley. There are still some pockets of Nature, primarily Forest Chem, a conscious jungle trying to sabotage the unstoppable advance of Megalex, while waiting to Geomesías. In this world must survive a police clone cloned defectively the size of a giant. Only the love they feel Zerain and Kavatah can end this spiral of hatred and destruction. Created by Alejandro Jodorowsky and Fred Beltran.

On Megalex, a gigantic planet-industrial city, every nature is banished. It Man and woman reproduces by cloning itself, people are preprogrammed from birth until death, regimented in classes with unequal privileges. The most spectacular life. The police only has live in 400 days, for citezen they are 40 years, but for the queen 4000 years. Everything would be fine in the Brave New World if only a few remaining ‘anomalies’: a forest irreducible and aggressive, rebels buried and, from time to time, there always a malfunction in the system.

Extraordinary Adventures of Adèle Blanc-Sec

The Extraordinary Adventures of Adèle Blanc-Sec is a gaslamp fantasy comic book series first appearing in 1976 written and illustrated by French comics artist Jacques Tardi and published in album format by Belgian publisher Casterman, sometimes preceded by serialisation in various periodicals, intermittently since then. The comic portrays the titular far-fetched adventures and mystery-solving of its eponymous heroine, herself a writer of popular fiction, in a secret history-infused, gaslamp fantasy version of the early 20th century, set primarily in Paris and prominently incorporating real-life locations and events. Initially a light-hearted parody of such fiction of the period, it takes on a darker tone as it moves into the post–World War I years and the 1920s.

India Dreams

London, December 1944. Emy hates the Indies. She lost her parents 16 years earlier. And here comes the past. Inadvertently, Emy becomes acquainted with the diary of her mother, Amelia, a young woman resigned, just outside the principles of Victorian England, and confronted by a so-called lewd India, awakening her own sensuality. January 1930. Amélié arrives with Emy on the first liner destined for Bombay, to find Thomas, his husband, captain in the army of the Indies in Khalapour, at Radjasthan. But the reunion is disappointing, Thomas seems to have changed, unless it is Amelia, proven by the suffocating heat reigning in this region located on the edge of the Thar desert. Fortunately, there is Kenneth Lowther, a friend of Thomas, an atheist philosopher and preceptor of the Royal children, who tries to explain to Amelia the disconcerting India, its religion, its customs and the magnificence of its maharajas.  by Jean-François Charles, Maryse Charles.

These women have got each other’s backs and don’t take kindly to the worst mankind has to offer.

Black Angel

It is the early 1920s. The Volstead Act has recently prohibited the sale and consumption of alcohol, which means that an active black market has sprung up—a market controlled by legendary gangsters such as Al Capone. Supplies must be secretly shipped from France to its outpost in Saint-Pierre, Newfoundland. This dangerous and illegal trade involves aviators flying primitive sea planes—aviators such as Bessie the "Black Angel," whose mixed heritage also makes her the target of the flourishing Ku Klux Klan. Based on the historical figure of Bessie Coleman, she flies in the face of injustice, prejudice, and discrimination. by Yann  (Author), Henriet (Illustrator).
