Giant

New York, 1932. Despite the great depression that is hitting America hard, buildings rise ever higher in the skies of Manhattan and the building sites proliferate. This is where Giant works, a taciturn man with an imposing build. His colleagues instructed him to warn the family of an Irish compatriot of his accidental death. But, concealing the sad truth, the mysterious Colossus sends a fine sum of money to Mary Ann, the young widow, as well as a typed letter that could be from her husband ... She answers him and then begins a regular correspondence, without Giant dispelling the lie. Then comes the day Mary Ann and her children arrive in New York ... Author & Illustrator : Mikaël.

Interiorae (Gabriella Giandelli)

A high-rise apartment building in an unnamed European city. Its inhabitants come and go, meet each other, talk, dream, regret, hope... in short, live. A ghostly, shape-shifting anthropomorphic white rabbit roams from apartment to apartment, surveying and keeping track of all this humanity... and at the end of every night, he floats down to the basement where he delivers his report to the “great dark one.”

Peplum (Blutch)

The man known as Blutch is one of the giants of contemporary comics, and Peplum may be his masterpiece: a grand, strange dream of ancient Rome. At the edge of the empire, a gang of bandits discovers the body of a beautiful woman in a cave; she is encased in ice but may still be alive. One of the bandits, bearing a stolen name and with the frozen maiden in tow, makes his way toward Rome—seeking power, or maybe just survival, as the world unravels.

Stigmata (Lorenzo Mattotti)

Imagine that you were the lowest of the low – a drunkard, a brawler, a fornicator, a desperate hulk of a man… Imagine that the mark of the divine suddenly appeared etched in your flesh, and that your life spiraled into unending horror as a consequence… Imagine that you managed to find a respite from this Hell… and imagine that this respite was short-lived. Legendary cartoonist Lorenzo Mattotti (Fires, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde) applies his virtuosic pen to novelist and screenwriter Claudio Piersanti’s gripping fable of good, evil, sacrifice and ultimate redemption.

Gloria Victis

There was a time when certain mortals could become gods. At this time, two thousand years ago, men would pass into legend by risking their lives to entertain the crowds; famous charioteers who, perched on their chariots like Apollo, would fight for their lives and their honor in the arena. This is the story of one of those heroes: Aelio Hermeros, perhaps one of the greates chariot riders of all time. He was a mortal immortalized in the memory of those who saw him compete, who witnessed his defeats, his victories, his blood spilled and, most of all, his glory. Written by Juanra Fernandez. Art by Mateo Guerrero.

Best of Enemies

“Best of Enemies is surely destined to stand alongside Marjane Satrapi’s Persepolis as a graphic history of the Middle East. A must read for anyone interested in learning, or teaching, about the region.”—Mark Levine, professor of history at UC-Irvine and author of Heavy Metal Islam. In the third volume of their graphic history of US and Middle East relations, Jean-Pierre Filiu and David B. take in the tumultuous period that began with Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait in 1990 and ended with Obama’s decision, in 2013, not to intervene in Syria.
Spanning the First Gulf War, the rise of al-Qaeda, the military response to September 11, and the present conflict in Syria, Best of Enemies: Part Three is propelled by a clash between four presidents and their Middle Eastern antagonists: on the one hand, George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama; on the other, Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden, and Bashar al-Assad. Covering 30 years of conflict and diplomacy, Best of Enemies: Part Three is a breezy and engaging guide to the events that shaped the politics of today.
