Navis

Nävis is a series of comics of science fiction created by Jean-David Morvan and Philippe Buchet (screenplay), José-Luis Munuera (drawing) and Christian Lerolle (color). It is edited and published the Delcourt. This is the story of Nävis of youthful adventures, the main character of the series Wake , created by Jean-David Morvan and Philippe Buchet , respectively writer and cartoonist. These stories are therefore held before the start of the series. Nävis grows when in the company of robot-nurse Nsob and since the end of the first album, Houyo her friend tigrours.

Nomad

Formed by the US Secret Service, Arrouan Nomad has the power to penetrate computer memory. He will escape to join his brothers Tuareg of Niger. He then embarked on a mare that will take him to Japan. Screenplay: Jean-David Morvan | Design: Philippe Buchet & Sylvain Savoia.

Nomad is an Arrouan. One being with the power to penetrate into the memories of the most sophisticated computers. Confiscated, trained, educated by the US secret services, it has become a formidable weapon. With his gifts, no secrets can not be preserved, no more hidden information. During a mission Arrouan, through the memory of a computer, collects the call of his people, the Tuareg. Therefore, it will do everything to reach his own. But the Nomad is an "object" too valuable to be allowed to escape. As for Arrouan he knows nothing about the rough and rugged life of Blue Men. Because the desert has become a place where the fiercest guerrilla rampant.

Wake

Wake (titled Sillage in the original French) is a science fiction graphic novel series created by Jean-David Morvan and Philippe Buchet. It's a hard science fiction and space opera, exploring social themes about inequalities, corruption and colonization. Battle cruisers, Admirals’ flagships, war transports, supply ships… these are some of the thousands of vessels which make up a formidable interstellar convoy, launched to search for new inhabitable planets. A convoy named Wake, aboard which all sorts of beings, with many different beliefs live side by side, but where one species remains unknown: the Human beings. The Wake Civilization is a vast convoy of spacecraft that constantly travel around the galaxy in search of resources, races, and technology. This convoy drops hypergates as it travels, allowing instantaneous access to previously visited star systems. It is unclear whether Wake has any faster than light capability beyond the hypergates. The Wake civilization is very old. There are hints that it has circled the galaxy many times, and revisited many stellar systems over time periods sufficient to watch civilizations rise and fall. There is also evidence that Wake has terraformed planets and seeded life on them over a very long period of time.

The protagonist of the series is Nävis, a young human female who was shipwrecked and orphaned on an alien planet. She was raised from infancy by one of the ship’s robots, Nsob, and has never met another human being. She lives a primitive life in the jungle of her world with her companion Houyo, a sentient tiger-like being. Her idyllic life ends when agents of Wake, a traveling civilization of many different alien species, arrive to Hotta-form (equivalent of terraform) her planet for Hottard colonization. Prior to encountering Nävis, Wake had extremely limited contact with humanity. After some first contact friction, Nävis is awarded salvage rights to her wrecked spacecraft and joins Wake with enough money to pay for her education and to commission a custom spacecraft for her to live in. When her money runs out, she goes to work for the Wake government as an agent and explorer within the Wake convoy and on technologically primitive worlds.
