Deathburger Unit B378

Deathburger Unit B378 is an artist who's been creating very slick cyberpunk artwork for years now. Considering that the "cyberpunk future" is not going to happen, this vision is obsolete but the art is so cool nonetheless. If you're a fan of moebius and Geoff Darrow, you'll LOVE this.

This is essentially an artbook, no text or story. There is volume 2 and a bunch of other books but they are in pdf format

Anais Nin - On the Sea of Lies (2020)

It is the beginning of the 1930s. Anaïs Nin lives in the Parisian suburbs and struggles with the anguish of her life as a banker's wife. Uprooted several times uprooted as a child, she grew up between 2 continents, 3 languages, and struggles to find her place in a society which relegates women to supporting roles. She wants to be a writer, and since childhood has kept a diary. It is her drug, her companion, her double, the thing that allows her to explore the complexity of her feelings and to come to grips with the sensuality that smolders within her. Then she meets Henry Miller, a revelation that proves to be the first step towards great upheavals. Leonie Bischoff.

The Ring of the Seven Worlds

Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Action/Adventure and Manga all blend into this Steampunk saga about interconnected worlds at the mercy of an invasion. Seven planets linked to one another by the multidimensional gates of a giant ring. Only the passage to Nemo, one of the Seven Worlds, has remained sealed for three centuries, in order to confine its people after they savagely attacked the rest of the Empire. When the infamous gate reopens and unleashes the ancient enemy, Timo and Luce, two teenagers from the planet Mose, are caught up in a war they were not prepared to fight.

Philosophy - A Discovery in Comics

This illustrated primer on philosophy is a great way to be introduced to a complex topic. In her easily accessible style, Margreet de Heer visualizes the history of Western philosophy and makes it approachable for those with little knowledge of the subject. The book explains the thoughts of philosophers such as Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Descartes, Spinoza, and Nietzsche, and ponders questions such as What is thinking? What is reality? Is there free will? and Why are these ideas still important? A perfect introduction to exploring philosophical concepts, this humorous yet substantive graphic account strips the subject of unnecessary complexity.

Millennium - The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo 001 (2017)

Presenting a new vision of the worldwide bestselling Millennium novels by Stieg Larsson, THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO is the first comic book adaptation of Lisbeth Salander's harrowing story ever to appear in English.

My War (2015)

"In their passionate intensity these drawings are as emotionally poignant as the very best war work that Paul Nash or Nevinson ever produced, while technically the broad lines and heavy blacks of Mr. Szüts have a sledge-hammer mastery which is more akin to the work of Forain and Steinlen." - The Sunday Times (London). The pen, ink, and wash images of this graphic novel speak louder than words in relating a soldier's experiences during World War I. My War, a dramatic narrative by Hungarian veteran Szegedi Szüts, portrays the tragedy of wartime life on the battlefield as well as on the home front. With pathos and grim humor, more than 200 images trace a young recruit's progress from initial enthusiasm to ultimate disillusionment. Includes new Foreword by Peter Kuper.

Legends of the Tour (2014)

Legends of the Tour by the Dutch illustrator (and amateur racing cyclist) Jan Cleijne. Cleijne tells the story of the Tour in 10 chapters, kicking off with its beginnings in 1903 as a race to promote the French sports newspaper L'Auto (the first Tour was won by Maurice Garin, who was cheered by 10,000 people as he took his victory lap; Garin finished two hours and 49 minutes ahead of the next competitor, still the largest gap between first and second places in the race's history).

Robur

Robur is a series of comic genre steampunk , created by Gil Formosa (design and color) and Jean-Marc and Randy Lofficier (scenario), published between 2003 and 2005 with Editions Albin Michel . The series is complete in 3 volumes. It is loosely based on universe fantasy created by the authors of science fiction of the XIX th and early xx th century, especially Jules Verne and HG Wells ; It's a mix of 3D and traditional designs. Robur is a scientific genius who creates the greatest air ship in the late 1800's. In 1901, Professor Cavor landed on the Moon, thus completing the journey begun by the heroes of Verne, and took possession of it in the name of the British Empire. There he meets the Selenites , a race of polymorphic intelligent metal, with a hive mentality, and spends years at home. The contact is rather positive.
Until the day when the First World War broke out . The Selenites are revolted by the massacre and decide to enslave these warlike neighbors. They bring the Moon closer to the Earth, causing cataclysms, and invading the planet. The Terrians put themselves at their service, including Germany, which becomes Nazi before time (and without the concurrence of Adolf Hitler ). Others enter into resistance, including England, some American industrialists, and many adventurers around the world. The leader of the rebellion is Robur, a mysterious character who has had many identities during his very long life and who may have been Robur the Conqueror . With his allies, he will wage a world war, made of espionage, treason and merciless fighting. The series begins in 1931, fifteen years after the Selenite invasion, when London is shaved.
