The Wolves of La Louvière (2018)

Script by Flore Balthazar - Art by Flore Balthazar. Belgium, 1940. The German army is spreading across Europe, and tiny Belgium is conquered in 18 days. During the four long years of the Nazi occupation, the women of La Louvière have to figure out some way to stay alive, to live their lives, and to keep up hope. Their world is drawn through teenage Marcelle’s journal: What does she do? How do her family members endure? Which women in town collaborate with the occupying forces, and which women choose to fight? As always in wartime, the women take over for the absent men and keep their world spinning.

Mortals and Immortals of Greek Mythology (2018)

In Greek myths, extraordinary men and women are distinguished from other mortals: they are the heroes. Sometimes helped by the gods and sometimes hindered, they perform extraordinary exploits of strength, bravery, or intelligence. Jason, Theseus, Helen, Achilles, and Atalanta are among these mythical figures. The stories of the Greek mortals and immortals, and their legendary exploits, tower as tall now as they have for thousands of years! Alternately rivals or allies, Hera, Poseidon, Demeter, Athena, Ares, Aphrodite, Hephaestus, Hermes, Artemis, Apollo, and Dionysus form a restless family, which Zeus sometimes has trouble appeasing. But the king of the gods is far from irreproachable himself! Join these twelve gods at the top of Olympus, where they will give you all their secrets, even the most incredible ones. Never have these classic stories of Greek gods and goddesses, heroes and heroines, been so sumptuously illustrated. All your favorites are here, but this beautiful art and design will make you want to learn their stories all over again.

Generations (2017)

Millennial, gay, and adrift with no money, no job, and uncertain of his future, Matteo returns to his small hometown after three years in Milan to stay with his grandmother, three aunts, and a very pregnant cousin. Reconnecting with the women in his family as he begins to rebuild his life and relationships opens his eyes to the truths of other generations … bigotry, love, tolerance and acceptance – and a few truths about himself.

Match

It starts with the draw, it continues on a service, it ends with a winner and a loser. It spans hundreds of pages of doubt, tension, joy, fear, helplessness and anger. It's impressive, it's anguish, it makes you laugh and it's amazing. It's raw sports, it's a UFO in comics. It's a tennis match in its entirety (point by point!) Told by Gregory Panaccione!

D'Air Pur Et D'Eau Fraiche - One Shot

The story ...
Joshua is the son of a trapper. He lives with his parents and his little sister, a difficult existence, lost in nature. A life made all the more difficult, as his father drunkard squanders the fruit of the sale of skins in brothels and saloons and expresses his frustrations violently on his wife and children.
Joshua finds himself brutally orphaned after the attack on the family home by Indians.

Priape - One Shot

The name of Priapus refers above all to the Roman god of fertility and physical virility. Here it is a man of whom it is a question, and the poisoned gift that nature has offered him will make him a being apart. Nicolas Presl, in his first work, takes us to antiquity, in the steps of a young man in search of his sexual identity. Let's bet that this silent story, cruel and disturbing tale, will leave no one behind ...

Trigan Empire

The Rise and Fall of the Trigan Empire, later called simply The Trigan Empire was a science fiction comic series written mainly by Mike Butterworth and most notably drawn by Don Lawrence. It told the story of an alien culture that contained an educational blend of science and Earth-like ancient civilizations. The strip first appeared in the first issue of the British magazine Ranger in September 1965 and then in the British Look and Learn magazine from issue 232 (June 1966) when the two titles merged after the 40th issue of Ranger. Both titles were weekly educational magazines designed for young people; although mainly filled with articles on life, history, science and technology, both contained a small comic strip section in each issue.
The series ran in Look and Learn until the title ceased publication with issue 1049, April 1982, an extraordinary run of 854 issues between the two magazines. There were a number of early reprints. In the United Kingdom, Hamlyn Publishing printed one book called simply, "The Trigan Empire", this was printed in the United States by Chartwell Publishing. This edition featured early stories. A later book was printed by Hawk Publishing in 1989 as Tales of the Trigan Empire in hardback form. Both the Hamlyn and Hawk books have parts cut from some of the original stories, most notably in the Hawk book there are sometimes entire pages that have been taken out. In recent years, the parts of the Trigan Empire that were drawn by Don Lawrence have been reprinted by the Don Lawrence Collection in luxury hardback limited editions. These editions have the stories as originally printed without any of the frames that were missing in some of the other reprints, notably the Hawk publications book. They are not direct copies of the Look and Learn prints, but in many cases are taken from the original artwork and use revised fonts to make them easier to read.

Asterix

Asterix or The Adventures of Asterix (French: Astérix or Astérix le GauloisIPA: [asteʁiks lə ɡolwa]) is a series of French comics. The series first appeared in the Franco-Belgian comics magazine Pilote on 29 October 1959. It was written by René Goscinny and illustrated by Albert Uderzo until the death of Goscinny in 1977. Uderzo then took over the writing until 2009, when he sold the rights to publishing company Hachette. As of 2013, 35 volumes have been released.
The series follows the exploits of a village of indomitable Gauls as they resist Roman occupation. They do so by means of a magic potion, brewed by their druid called Getafix in the English translations, which gives the recipient superhuman strength. The protagonist, the titular character Asterix, along with his friend Obelix have various adventures. The "ix" ending of both names (as well as all the other pseudo-Gaulish "ix" names in the series)alludes to the "rix" suffix (meaning "king") present in the names of many real Gaulish chieftains such as Vercingetorix, Orgetorix, and Dumnorix. Many of the stories have them travel to foreign countries, though others are set in and around their village. For much of the history of the series (Volumes 4 through 29), settings in Gaul and abroad alternated, with even-numbered volumes set abroad and odd-numbered volumes set in Gaul, mostly in the village.
The Asterix series is one of the most popular Franco-Belgian comics in the world, with the series being translated into over 100 languages, and it is popular in most European countries.
The success of the series has led to the adaptation of several books into 13 films: nine animated, and four live action. There have also been a number of games based on the characters, and a theme park near Paris, Parc Astérix. To date, 325 million copies of 34 Asterix books have been sold worldwide, making co-creators René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo France's bestselling authors abroad.

Alix

Alix, or The Adventures of Alixis a popular Franco-Belgian comics series drawn in the ligne claire style by one of its masters,Jacques Martin (1921-2010). The stories revolve around a young Gallo-Roman man named Alix in the late Roman Republic.
Although the series is renowned for its historical accuracy and stunning set detail, the hero has been known to wander into anachronistic situations up to two centuries out of his era. The stories unfold throughout the reaches of the Roman world, including the city of Rome, Gaul, the German frontier, Mesopotamia, Africa and Asia Minor. One voyage goes as far as China.
